At SCCH, we offer both inpatient and outpatient surgical services to meet the needs of our patients. Whether you go home from surgery the same day or convalesce with us as an inpatient, our experienced and compassionate care teams provide exceptional surgical and follow-up care.

About

The surgical team includes skilled surgeons, using the latest available surgical techniques and instrumentation supported by highly trained, compassionate nurses. SCCH offers a wide range of surgical services including general, orthopedic, ophthalmologic, obstetric, and gynecological surgeries; anesthesia services; therapeutic pain management; infusion therapy; and endoscopy. Our team consists of Certified Surgical Technologists and CRNAs from the Regional Anesthesia Group.

General Surgery

Upper endoscopy/gastrointestinal endoscopy
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy/gallbladder

Small bowel surgery

Sentinel node biopsy

Arthroscopy—knee and shoulder

Ophthalmologic Procedures

Includes but is not limited to cataracts.

The Outpatient Surgery Process

The pre-surgery process can begin up to two weeks prior to surgery.

You will receive a call from an outpatient surgery nurse who will review your health history, give you detailed instructions for the day of your surgery, and answer any questions you have. Your slated arrival and procedure/surgery time will be provided during this call.

The day of your surgery or procedure, report to the hospital’s main lobby. From there, you will complete the registration process and be directed to the Outpatient Surgery Department.

Picture identification



Order from your doctor (if provided to you)



Advance healthcare directive or copy living will (if available)



List of your current medications



For patients under age of 18, a parent or guardian must sign consent forms
