Infusion Services

Infusion Services at SCCH provide outpatient care for patients requiring blood transfusions, or IV therapies, such as IV antibiotic treatments ordered as a series. Physicians may also order one-time treatments for patients including narcotic administration, enemas, or Foley catheter placement.

Infusion cubicles are equipped with comfortable reclining chairs or hospital beds to accommodate all infusion patients.

Because we recognize the importance of timely, flexible treatment so that infusion patients can return to normal activities as quickly as possible, staff is available for evening and weekend appointments.

For blood transfusions, arrangements will be made for blood typing prior to transfusion ensuring that the appropriate blood type is available at the time of treatment.
