Tammy Walker is a current Family Nurse Practitioner at Lakeside Family Medicine. Tammy was raised in Sullivan County, Indiana, and is a proud graduate of Saint Mary-of-the Woods College in Terre Haute where she received her bachelor’s degree in nursing, master’s degree in family nurse practitioner, and was awarded the Alumni Leadership & Service Award.

Tammy started her career in healthcare in 2002. She spent her RN career in areas such as Oncology/Hematology, Labor & Delivery and Med/Surg. Tammy is board certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She is also a member of the Coalition of Advanced Practice Nurses of Indiana. Tammy is passionate about educating patients and improving rural healthcare disparities.

Tammy enjoys living life with her husband, five children, grandchildren, and her Golden Doodles. In her spare time, Tammy also enjoys traveling to different National Parks, fishing, boating, and hiking.
