Jessica Dean-Hester is originally from Terre Haute, IN. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Indiana State University. Associates of Science in Nursing from Indiana State University, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Southern Indiana with honors. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing with Honors from Chamberlain University in Chicago, Illinois, and holds a national certification with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Jessica has been a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 2019.

Her professional career started as a case worker for Hamilton Center and the State of Indiana. She went on to nursing school and then worked at Riley Children's Hospital ER, St. Francis Hospital ER, and Terre Haute Regional Hospital in the ICU working on all the units. She has a background as a nurse practitioner in pain management, family practice, and most recently was a hospitalist at Union Hospital.

Jessica currently teaches in the family nurse practitioner program at Indiana State University, is an active member of CAPNI- Coalition of Advanced Practice Nurses of Indiana, and is currently working on her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Indiana State University.

In her spare time, Jessica enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time traveling with her husband Ryan–with a goal to visit all the baseball parks in the United States.
