About
Dr. Seifert was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated college and medical school from the University of Missouri in Kansas City in 1983. She completed internship and residency training as a psychiatrist at the Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry in 1989. Dr. Seifert has been board certified in general psychiatry since 1991 and has practiced in a variety of clinical settings. She has treated patients via telemedicine for more than 15 years, long before COVID made this a widespread treatment modality. Dr. Seifert is the medical director of the Adult and Adolescent Program and the Senior Program at Turning Leaf Behavioral Health.
When she’s not working, Dr. Seifert enjoys hands-on home renovation, reading, sewing for charity, needlework of all kinds, gardening, cooking, traveling, painting murals and spending time with family and friends. She sees patients via telemedicine from her home office and recently moved from Iowa to Wisconsin, where she lives near her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. She and her husband of forty years own a tiny house in sunny Arizona, where she lives and works in the winter months.
